MARIETTA,
GA – The Marietta ChalkFest will be
presenting a free concert featuring Prime: Atlanta’s Finest Variety Band on
Marietta Square in Glover Park.
The
band, Prime, performs covers of famous songs such as Gavin DeGraw’s “I Don’t
Wanna Be” and Bon Jovi’s “Who Says You Can’t Go Home.” This performance is part
of Marietta ChalkFest hosted by the Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art.
“We
are adding a lot of new things to this year’s Marietta ChalkFest. The Concert
is just one of them!” says Sally Macaulay, the Executive Director of the
Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art.
Marietta
ChalkFest is a weekend long event that brings together contracted, professional
artists from all over the country to create larger than life works in front of
the public. In addition, the festival also presents a public chalk competition
for all ages and a kid’s corner.
Concert
begins at 6:00pm with an opening act by a high school barbershop quartet on
October 11, 2014 on Marietta Square in Glover Park.
